Applications

CASSIDA FLUID RF 46 is recommended for use in open and semi-open compressors, including screw and reciprocating types. It performs exceptionally with ammonia (R717), supporting high and low evaporation temperatures. It is also compatible with isobutane (R600a) and CO2 (R744) but should only be used with these refrigerants after consultation with the compressor OEM.

Seal and Paint Compatibility

Compatible with commonly used elastomers, gaskets, seals, and paints such as polyurethane and two-part epoxy resin paints found in food processing machinery and lubrication systems.

Handling and Storage

     •  Store food-grade lubricants separately from other lubricants, chemicals, and food products.
     •  Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources; store at temperatures between 32°F and 100°F.
     •  When stored under recommended conditions, the product has a shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacture.
     •  Once opened, use within 2 years or within the original 5-year shelf life, whichever is sooner.
