Klüber Summit RPS 52 is a polyglycol-based refrigeration compressor oil with excellent miscibility with ammonia (R717). Its synthetic formulation provides:

Applications

Klüber Summit RPS 52 is designed for screw-type compressors in refrigeration systems using ammonia (R717) and dry evaporation.

Unlike mineral oils and polyalphaolefins (PAOs), this lubricant’s miscibility with ammonia allows it to circulate efficiently with the refrigerant. This ensures oil recovery in the compressor at low evaporator temperatures, improving system reliability and performance.

Application Guidelines

1. Drain old oil from the entire refrigeration circuit while the system is still warm.
2. Replace oil filters and separators, and fully drain oil catches from the cycle.
3. Refill the compressor with Klüber Summit RPS 52.
4. Ensure complete system flushing if switching from mineral oils or PAOs, as Klüber Summit RPS 52 is not miscible with these lubricants.
