Description
UNISILKON L 641 is a specialized lubricating grease formulated with silicone oil and PTFE, designed for valves and other components in the heating, beverage, and sanitary sectors. This lubricant provides excellent penetration in small lubrication gaps and hard-to-reach lubrication points. Its viscosity remains relatively stable across a wide range of temperatures, ensuring consistent operating forces in single-lever mixer taps, whether in cold or hot water applications. UNISILKON L 641 is compatible with various substances used in the food processing and beverage industries, including beer, milk, juices, liquors, and acid or alkaline disinfectants. However, it is not compatible with most organic solvents or strong acid and alkaline solutions.

Application
UNISILKON L 641 is ideal for use as a sealing and assembly aid in applications involving seals and packings that come into contact with both hot and cold water or steam. Common applications include:

  • Domestic installations: ball valves, single-lever mixers, piston cartridges, ceramic discs, mixer taps with two handles, swivel spouts, shower switches, and shower heads.
  • Thermostatic mixer taps: thermostatic regulators and elements.
  • Heating applications: thermostatic valves, tap cocks, press-fit seals.
  • Water hydraulics: sealing grease for radial shaft seals.

Application Notes
UNISILKON L 641 is compatible with metals, thermoplastics (e.g., ABS, PC), and elastomers (e.g., NBR, EPDM). However, due to the variety of elastomer and plastic compositions, it is recommended to check compatibility before mass application.

This grease can be easily applied with a spatula, brush, typical metering equipment, or tampon printing method.
