Klüberalfa BF 83-102: High-Performance PFPE Lubricant for Extreme Conditions
Engineered for Lifetime Lubrication in High-Temperature Applications
Klüberalfa BF 83-102 is a high-performance lubricant formulated with perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) oils and PTFE thickeners, designed for long-term lubrication in high-speed and high-temperature environments.
This advanced formulation sets new standards in high-temperature PFPE greases, ensuring the extended service life of rolling bearings, even under extreme conditions.
Klüberalfa BF 83-102 is NSF H1-registered, meeting FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570 regulations. It is suitable for incidental food contact, making it ideal for use in the food-processing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and animal feed industries. For safety compliance, we recommend conducting a risk assessment (e.g., HACCP).
Key Applications
With its low consistency at low temperatures and exceptional durability, Klüberalfa BF 83-102 is ideal for:
- Pre-clean friction points using white spirit 180/210, followed by Klüberalfa XZ 3-1, before initial lubrication.
- Fan bearings in turbochargers
- Small turbines
- Generator bearings
- Low-torque drives
Compatibility with Plastics and Elastomers
PFPE-based lubricants are generally neutral towards standard elastomers and plastics, allowing compatibility with a wide range of construction materials (excluding fluorinated rubber). However, compatibility testing is recommended before large-scale application.
Application Guidelines
- Pre-clean friction points using white spirit 180/210, followed by Klüberalfa XZ 3-1, before initial lubrication.
- Ensure surfaces are completely free of oil, grease, perspiration, and contaminants to maximize performance.
