Description
Klüberbeta VR 67-3500 is a soft, white adhesive silicone grease designed to ensure reliable operation across a broad temperature range. It is formulated with special silicone oils to provide dependable performance in sanitary, beverage, and heating valves and taps. Klüberbeta VR 67-3500 is NSF H1 registered, meeting the requirements of FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570, making it suitable for incidental contact with food products, packaging materials, and in industries such as food processing, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and animal feed. Using this lubricant can help improve the reliability of your production processes, though an additional risk analysis, such as HACCP, is recommended.
Application
Klüberbeta VR 67-3500 is ideal for use in drinking water and beverage taps as well as in heating installations where complex friction geometries require even grease distribution. Typical applications include lubricating ceramic discs in components like single-lever mixer taps, piston mixers, shower valves, thermostats, and other similar parts. It provides load-bearing lubricating films up to 2.5 N/mm² under normal operating conditions, with the potential to exceed this value depending on the component design. Thanks to its consistency, it is particularly effective as an assembly lubricant for seals, O-rings, and seal packings. Additionally, it reduces friction and wear in other components like plastic taps, packings, and laboratory equipment.
Application Notes
Klüberbeta VR 67-3500 is compatible with most metals, thermoplastics, and elastomers. However, due to the varying compositions of elastomers and plastics, compatibility should be verified prior to large-scale application. The grease can be applied using a spatula, brush, standard metering devices, or the tampon printing method.
