Klübersynth UH1 14-1600 is a synthetic, high-performance lubricating grease specifically designed for applications requiring food-grade compliance. It is NSF H1 registered and meets the requirements of FDA 21 CFR Sec. 178.3570, making it suitable for incidental food contact.

This lubricant contributes to food safety when used in combination with other required safety measures in food manufacturing. Its soft consistency, excellent wear protection, and scuffing load stage 11 in the FZG test ensure effective lubricant distribution and reduced gear wear.

Applications

Klübersynth UH1 14-1600 is specially formulated for machines and installations in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries, where incidental food contact cannot be avoided.

Application Guidelines

• Application Methods:
  • Can be applied using a brush, spatula, grease gun, or central lubrication systems.
• Lubrication Changeover:
  • Before replacing existing grease with Klübersynth UH1 14-1600, thoroughly clean all lubrication and friction points.
  • If the greases are compatible, simple relubrication is sufficient.
  • In gears, removal of used grease is recommended.
• Centralized Lubrication Systems:
  • The product is generally suitable for centralized systems, but due to varied system configurations, its pumpability should be confirmed with the system manufacturer. Klüber Lubrication can assist in this assessment.
• Softening Over Time:
  • This grease exhibits rapid softening, reaching a much softer consistency within approximately six months, falling outside its initial penetration range.
