Composition

• Base Oil: Synthetic oil
• Thickener: Inorganic thickener
• Additives: Solid lubricants & adhesion improver

Applications

MOLYKOTE 1122 is designed for:

• Chains with hollow pins (e.g., tenter clamp chains in the textile industry, conveyor chains in food sterilizers)
• Gear drives and open gears
• Sliding bearings operating at low speeds and high temperatures (e.g., bearings in drying systems)
• Calendering machines used in various industrial applications

How to Apply

1. Surface Preparation: Clean all contact areas before application.
2. Application Methods: Apply using a brush, spatula, grease gun, or automatic lubrication system.

Chains with Hollow Pins

• Ensure hollow pins are fully packed with grease.
• For relubrication, use a grease gun through the grease nipples.
• Effective at temperatures up to 160°C.

Gears

• Treat new gear tooth profiles with MOLYKOTE® G-n Metal Assembly Paste and Spray.
• Run without load briefly to establish a solid lubricating film.
• Apply MOLYKOTE® 1122 Chain and Open Gear Grease according to the gear manufacturer’s instructions.
